I started my career in finance, where numbers, processes, and precision shaped my daily work. Early on, I worked extensively with Microsoft ERP systems and the reporting built around them. What fascinated me most wasn’t just the financial results, but the data structures and systems that made those insights possible.
That curiosity led me into data architecture and engineering, where I found my true passion.
For more than 10 years, I’ve been working with Microsoft technologies and ERP ecosystems, including Dynamics AX 2012, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM), Business Central, and Customer Insights. I specialize in building modern, scalable data platforms around these systems—integrating ERP data with third-party and custom-built applications and transforming it into reliable reporting and analytics that help organizations steer their business.
My journey began with on-premises technologies like SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS, evolved into Azure-based architectures, and today my primary focus is Microsoft Fabric, designing high-performance data platforms that combine governance, DevOps, AI, and enterprise-grade reporting.
As a Data Solution Architect and co-founder of SteinauTech Data & Software Solutions GmbH, I support organizations in turning complex ERP landscapes into structured, future-proof data ecosystems.
I’m also an active speaker in the data community, sharing practical insights on data architectures, Git & DevOps, and Microsoft Fabric integrations.

I am a software developer and architect specializing in APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native solutions. I hold a PhD in Computer Science, where my research focused on developing distributed process management systems. After that, I briefly stayed with a startup that designed on-premises and cloud data architectures with a strong focus on AI. And at my last job I gained the experience in Microsoft Azure, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code, which I all grew to love. I designed and implemented scalable, resilient, cloud-native software systems for major clients in Germany.
In recent years and together with Marisol, I have applied my skillset more and more in the data engineering space, particularly around Microsoft Fabric. I apply my DevOps and IaC expertise to data platforms, enabling version-controlled, automated, and reproducible data infrastructure deployments. It was also surprising to me how often a good data solution requires making low-level API calls. So basically I do all the stuff for data solutions that data engineers usually do not.
I am co-founder of SteinauTech Data & Software Solutions GmbH, a consultancy offering specialized services in data and software engineering. We love Git.
My aspiration for any project I do is to build it better, having seen what cheap solutions cost companies in the long run. In my experience, solutions that deliver technical excellence are more expensive but cost-effective, as companies are not required to constantly funnel money into fixing a broken solution.
